Conditions & Illnesses We Treat
Dozens of modern studies, by such institutions as Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, Duke University, and numerous other organizations, indicate acupuncture is an effective therapy to treat a wide array of ailments. The World Health Organization has identified over 43 conditions that can be effectively treated by acupuncture and Oriental medicine. More and more doctors recommend or even practice acupuncture, and insurance coverage is becoming more common.
It should be noted that acupuncturists do not advocate replacing regular medical care from an MD. In fact, the reason acupuncture is respected so highly by informed physicians is not just because of its efficacy, but also because it integrates well with Western medicine. While acupuncture is often successful at addressing conditions vaguely defined or difficult to treat with Western medicine, acupuncturists will always direct their patients to receive complete and necessary medical evaluation.
